October 5 ~ Las Cruces, NM ~ Thomas Branigan Memorial Library, Roadrunner Room ~ 4 – 5:30 PM ~ Join four NMSU alumni for a poetry medley. The event will include diverse poetry and poetry styles from three Las Cruces poets and one Silver City poet. The poets include), Allison Layfield (author of Serpent), Miguel De La Cruz (author of The Dress of Queen Kitsch), Tim Staley (author of The Pieces You Have Left), and Heather Frankland (author of Midwest Musings and the poet laureate of Silver City and Grant County). October 17 ~ Las Cruces, NM ~ Grounded Coffee ~ 7PM-8 ~ Reading in Celebration of the 2023 New Mexico Poetry Anthology. Staley will be joined by 2 other local, anthologized poets: John Monagle & Shelley Armitage. Each poet will read for 10 minutes.

October 12-14 ~ Tempe, AZ ~ Desert Nights, Rising Starts Writers Conference ~

Staley will be teaching an hour class on poetry performance as a Conference Teaching Fellow at 9 Am on Oct 13. Also he will appear on Thursday night, Oct 12, at the Community Teaching Fellows One Page Salon and Open Mic at Snakes & Lattes.
